NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, which is a national-level medical entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India. NEET is important as it is the gateway for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses in India, including MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH programs.
To be eligible for the NEET exam, a candidate must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete it on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the first year of MBBS/BDS course.
